Harald Jannach

Harald Jannach (born May 27, 1972 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian farmer and politician ( FPÖ ). Jannach was a member of the Austrian National Council from 2008 to 2017 . He has been the mayor of Frauenstein since 2015 .

Life

Jannach attended the elementary school in Obermühlbach 1978–1982, the secondary school in St. Veit an der Glan 1982–1986, the commercial academy in Althofen 1986–1991 and then an agricultural and forestry technical school (1991–1993).

Jannach was vice mayor of the Frauenstein community from 1997 to 2015 , and has been its directly elected mayor since 2015 . The list, which he maintains, community list Frauenstein list Harald Jannach was able to achieve an absolute majority in the community council with 13 of 23 mandates. From 2005 to 2010 Jannach was FPÖ district party leader of Sankt Veit an der Glan. In 2006 he became a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Carinthian Chamber of Agriculture and in 2009 he was the executive regional party chairman of the FPÖ Carinthia. Jannach ran for the National Council election in 2008 on the federal election proposal of the FPÖ and won a mandate on this list. Jannach was sworn in as a member of parliament on October 28, 2008 and took over the function of area spokesman for agriculture within the FPÖ parliamentary club.

On the occasion of the close cooperation between the FPK and the Federal FPÖ, decided on June 21, 2010 , which came as a shock for the small Carinthian FPÖ remainder with 3.6% in the last state election, Jannach resigned as FPÖ state party executive "surprisingly". as he saw in it “ the end of the independence of the FPÖ-Carinthia ”, however, he retained his mandate as a member of the National Council . After Harald Jannach's resignation, Christian Leyroutz was confirmed by the FPÖ executive board as managing state party chairman.

Jannach lives in Höffern not far from St. Veit an der Glan, is married and has two children.
