Harald Pfeffer (* 1919 ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

On August 25, 1954, Pfeffer, who started for the SC Motor Zella-Mehlis , became the first ski jumping world record holder on mats with 24 m.

Pfeffer made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1956/57 . He already achieved a good 25th place at the opening competition in Oberstdorf on the Schattenbergschanze. After further rather mixed results, Pfeffer was 32nd overall at the end of the tour.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1958 , after jumps on 64 and 56.5 meters, he finished 28th, tied with Jacques Charland .

After a brief appearance in the previous year, he competed in all four competitions for the Four Hills Tournament in 1958/59 and achieved the best overall result of his career with 705.6 points and rank 30 in the overall ranking.

At the GDR championships in Klingenthal in 1960 , Pfeffer won silver on the normal hill behind his club mate Veit Keuert .
