The Harberenbach is a 2.6 kilometer long right tributary of the Furtbach in the communities of Boppelsen and Otelfingen in the canton of Zurich . The brook drains an area of around 2.3 square kilometers on the southern slope of the Lägern .

The brook rises on a path between fields below Boppelsen in the Furi corridor at 522 m above sea level. At the beginning, it mostly flows in a south-easterly direction past the hamlet of Neuwis and only a little later takes on the Bachtobelbach from the left , which is 600 meters longer than the Harberenbach. It is now accompanied by a forest line and turns to the southwest. Shortly before reaching the Otelfingen industrial area, he picks up the Zimeracherbächli from the right . It flows through the industrial area, partly overturned, where the brook in the Lauet flows towards it from the left . The Harberenbach now reaches the Otelfingen Golf Park , which it flows through from north to south and finally flows out at 416 m above sea level. M. from the right into the here renatured Furtbach.
Catchment area
The catchment area of the Harberenbach measures 2.26 km². The Office for Waste, Water, Energy and Air, Department of Water Protection rounds the catchment area up to 2.5 km², of which 1.5 km² is agricultural area, 0.7 km² settlement area, 0.3 km² forest and 0.01 km² unproductive area . The highest point is 635 m above sea level. M. in the north a little east of Boppelsen, the lowest point is at the confluence with the Furtbach at 416 m above sea level. In the west and north is the catchment area of the Otelfinger Dorfbach , in the east that of the Bännengraben , both of which also drain into the Furtbach.
