Hardy Hard (actually Kay Lippert * 10. September 1974 in Dresden ) is a German musician and Techno - DJ . Until the end of the 1990s he performed under the name Hardsequencer . From 2002 he also used the pseudonym Chemical Reaction Food .

Life

Lippert grew up in the Freital district of Zauckerode , where he also went to school. There he began to work on his first pieces of music with his Amiga . He broke off his apprenticeship as a retail salesman in the then provisional Allkauf tent in favor of his music career.

First he worked in the 1990s under his first pseudonym Hardsequencer and performed mainly as a live act. He was first known to a wider audience in 1993 through the piece Noise is the Message Rmx under the project name Hardsequencer Amiga EP on the second part of the popular Thunderdome compilation series . His first own publications appeared mainly on the low-spirit sub-label Fire Recordings . His first album Brain Crash was released there in 1994 . In 1995 Lippert delivered a remix of the Yello classic I Love You for the Hands On Yello project . In the same year he was able to reach the German single charts for the first time with his single The Sound Transformation . At the height of the commercialization of techno in the mid-1990s, all of his equipment was stolen from him in a break-in after his apartment had been presented in detail in a report on the VIVA channel shortly beforehand .

In the late 1990s he renamed himself Hardy Hard . Alongside WestBam, he was one of the most popular DJs for the Electric Kingdom record label . Lippert put u. a. regularly on Mayday and Love Parade as well as on the Electric Kingdom tours. He celebrated his greatest success in 1999 with the single Silver Surfer , a cover version of the Amiga - Mods Beams of Light Tor Bernhard Gausen, which he had published under his pseudonym "Walkman" in the year 1989th

In addition to his productions at Low Spirit, Lippert also published for the label Electric Kingdom under the pseudonym Chemical Reaction Food from 1998 . Under this name his second album Fat Burner was released there in 2002 .

In 2000 he started working with Afrika Bambaataa . The two played together at the Electric Kingdom party after the Love Parade. From 2001, joint releases under the name Sirius B followed .
