Harriet von Waldenfels

Harriet von Waldenfels (* 1985 in Madrid , Spain , as Harriet Fuhrhop ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

Harriet von Waldenfels graduated from high school in Hamburg in 2004 and studied German philology , sociology and comparative literature from April 2005 to August 2010 at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . Between September 2007 and July 2008 she had an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Aix-Marseille in Aix-en-Provence . During her studies, she also worked as an intern for various editorial teams at ARD , ZDF and BILD and completed a speaker training course with Katharina Koschny .

From 2010 to 2012 she did an editorial traineeship in the politics department of N24 . From 2012 to 2018 she worked as a reporter and editor in the political department of WELTN24 , where she also moderated the news from 2013 and was deputy chief presenter from 2016. Since January 2, 2019, she has been presenter and reporter for the ZDF morning magazine , alternating with Dunja Hayali . She has also been a reporter for the ZDF lunch magazine since 2019 .

She has been married to gynecologist Gabriel Freiherr von Waldenfels (* 1985), who works at the Charité in Berlin, since 2016 and lives in Berlin .
