Katharina Koschny (born July 28, 1953 in East Berlin ) is a German voice actress , actress and singer .

Life

Katharina Koschny received her acting training at Studio Langhanke in Berlin from 1973 to 1979. After completing her training, she was under contract at Zurich Theater 58 for eight years. From 1990 to 1994 she worked as a newscaster for RIAS in Berlin and later as a newscaster for DW-TV. Since 1992 she can be heard as a dubbing actress in movies and TV series. She has dubbed the voices of Catherine Deneuve , Victoria Abril , Nathalie Baye and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio , among others. She can also be heard in audio book productions and as the voice of acoustic guides.

She had film roles in Tatort , in the series Verliebt in Berlin and in Großstadtrevier . She was also seen in Unser Charly , Bülowbogen 's practice , Wolffs Revier and in Stefanie , just in case.

Since 2011 she has been managing director and lecturer with Rudy Redl (pianist, founding member of the theater troupe “Die Gorillas”) at the academy for professional speaking in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. There she teaches microphone and dubbing using the ariadne system .

With Rudy Redl, Katharina Koschny has performed regularly as a singer in band projects since 2002, alongside musicians such as Mack Goldsbury , Michael Gechter , Eric Vaughn , Niels Unbehagen and Mike Russel : u. a. Swing Crusaders , Night Time Blues Orchestra . Since 2012 she has been a permanent member of the band Berlin Groove Connection .
