Janeane Garofalo
Janeane Garofalo (born September 28, 1964 in Newton , New Jersey ) is an American actress and comedian .
Life
Her father Carmine Garofalo is Italian and her mother Joan is of Irish descent. Janeane Garofalo held several professions before making her comedian debut in 1985 . 1992–93 she starred alongside Ben Stiller , Bob Odenkirk and Andy Dick in the sketch comedy series The Ben Stiller Show , for which she also wrote .
She starred in the film Reality Bites (1994) alongside Winona Ryder , Ethan Hawke and Ben Stiller , in the film Cable Guy (1996) alongside Jim Carrey and Matthew Broderick . She played alongside Uma Thurman in Lies Have Long Legs (1996) ; she was nominated for an MTV Movie Award for her role . Her voice was heard in the cartoon Titan AE (2000) alongside the voices of Matt Damon , Drew Barrymore and Bill Pullman . In 2009, Garofalo was seen as an FBI agent in the seventh season of the television series 24 .
In 1991 she married Robert Cohen, from whom she separated again.
