Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce is an American television series directed by Marti Noxon. It is the first script-based in-house production by the US broadcaster Bravo . The series is about the early 40-year-old self-help author Abby McCarthy ( Lisa Edelstein ), who has to reconcile her current divorce with her already quite chaotic private life. It premiered on December 2, 2014 on Bravo. The German-language first broadcast took place on January 6, 2016 on the pay TV channel TNT Glitz .
In April 2016, the production of a third, fourth and fifth season was announced. The series ended with the fifth season.

controversy
The series provoked even before it was broadcast, in which the lead actress Edelstein, on posters, stretched her ring finger towards the viewer without a wedding ring, underlined by the sentence “Go find yourself.” (“Go, find yourself”).
