Harro Frank

Harro Frank (born September 11, 1941 in Hamburg ; † March 19, 1998 ) was a German lawyer and member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD .

Life

After graduating from high school, Harro Frank did 18 months of military service . From 1963 to 1967 he studied law in Hamburg and Berlin. In 1967 he passed the first state examination in law in Hamburg. In 1971 he received his doctorate for a thesis on the significance of the surrounding areas under planning law. jur. and took his second state law exam. In 1972 he became head of the legal department of the Hamburg housing loan company , from 1985 he was a member of the board of directors and at the end of 1986 he also became chairman of the board. Later he worked as an authorized signatory of Hamburg Fonds 1 Dr. Glässing KG .

politics

In 1967 Harro Frank joined the SPD and exercised various functions in the SPD district of Hamburg-Nord . From 1974 to September 1, 1988 he was elected as a member of the Hamburg Parliament. The focus of his work there was on the building committee, the committee for the constitution, rules of procedure and election review and the transport committee. In June 1977 he belonged together with Wulf Damkowski , Jan Ehlers , Bodo Fischer , Hans-Jürgen Grambow , Helga von Hoffmann , Frauke Martin , Lothar Reinhard , Ortwin Runde and Bodo Schümann to a group of ten SPD members of the Bundestag who, in connection with the Exclusion of the Juso chairman Klaus Uwe Benneter in a letter to the party chairman Willy Brandt demanded that this prevent party regulatory proceedings against 56 Hamburg SPD members who had shown solidarity with Benneter.
