Hartmut Hofrichter

Hartmut Hofrichter (born May 3, 1939 in Stettin ) is a German architect , architectural historian , monument conservator and university lecturer .

Life

Hartmut Hofrichter studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University from 1961 to 1966 . In 1971 he received his doctorate at this university under Willy Weyres and Lorenz Dittmann with the thesis "The monastery Sdepannos Nachawega in the Iranian province of Azerbaijan ". From 1971 until his habilitation in 1978 he worked with Martin Graßnick as an assistant professor at the chair for building history, the history of town planning and monument preservation. In 1980 he was appointed state curator of Rhineland-Palatinate , succeeding Werner Bornheim, known as Schilling . In 1982 he succeeded Martin Graßnick as professor in the Department of Architecture / Spatial Planning and Environmental Planning / Civil Engineering (A / RU / BI) at the University of Kaiserslautern . From 1995 to 1997 he was dean of this department and from 1997 to 2001 he held the office of Vice President of the University of Kaiserslautern. In 2004 he was adopted into retirement.

Hartmut Hofrichter is married and has two sons. He lives in Weilerbach.
