Hartmut Kania (* 1957 ) is a former German handball player .

Career

Kania started his career at TV Werther in 1964 and switched to TV Deutsche Eiche Künsebeck as a youngster . At the age of 17 Kania made her debut in the first men's team of the Künsebecker, which played in the association league at the time. In 1974 he moved to TuS Jöllenbeck , with whom he was relegated from the Oberliga Westfalen a year later . In 1976 he switched to regional league club TSV Altenhagen 03 , where he played for three years. Although the Altenhagener relegated from the regional league in 1979, Kania moved to the Bundesliga club TuS Nettelstedt . With the Nettelstedtern, Kania won the DHB Cup against VfL Günzburg and the European Cup Winners ' Cup against SC Empor Rostock in 1981 . Two years later he ended his professional career due to work. Hartmut Kania changes to the association league club SC Bielefeld 04/26 , with whom he was promoted to the Oberliga Westfalen in 1984. Four years later Kania got down with the Bielefeld team and returned in 1989 to his hometown club TV Werther, with whom he was promoted to the district league a year later. In 1994 he ended his career.

In 1982 Hartmut Kania completed three international matches for the German national team . Hartmut Kania is married and has two daughters. He works as a consultant in a software company .
