Harvey Frost
F. Harvey Frost (* before 1979 in London-Hampstead , United Kingdom ) is a British director , writer and film producer .
Life
After Harvey Frost attended a sports college where he was active on the rowing team, he started his film career in London before moving to Toronto , Canada and then to Los Angeles .
Frost made a name for himself primarily as a director of romantic comedies and films for the whole family. One of his early works was the Canadian sitcom Ultraman - My Secret Self (1988), which was mixed with science fiction elements. He received several awards for his work and was nominated for others. The episode Incident At Vernon River , one of 15 episodes in the television series Avonlea, directed by Frost, was awarded an Emmy . National Lampoon's Golf Punks won the WorldFest Silver Star. Two of Hearts (1999) was nominated for the Leo Best Picture Award. In the 2007 romantic Christmas comedy All I want for Christmas , Frost worked with Gail O'Grady and Robert Mailhouse, as well as Jimmy Pinchak , who was ten at the time . Also in 2007, Frost filmed a novel by bestselling author Janette Oke from the series The Settlers : Love dares new paths . In 2010 and 2013 Frost made two Christmas films for television, firstly A crazy Christmas present and secondly And finally it's Christmas!
Many of the actors Harvey worked with have been recognized or nominated for their work, such as Ernest Borgnine for his performance in the Christmas film A Grandpa for Christmas (2007), which received a Golden Globe nomination , or Maureen Stapleton 's for hers Role in the television series Avonlea received an Emmy nomination.
Frost currently resides in Pacific Palisades , California with his 12 year old twins. Two of his daughters live near him.
