history
The company was created in 2002 from the merger of the Nordharzer Kraftwerke, the Licht- und Kraftwerke Harz and the Westharzer Kraftwerke.
Products
In 2017, the company supplied 2.3 billion kWh of natural gas , 0.7 billion kWh of electricity and 5.9 million m³ of drinking water to around 176,000 customers. The network area of the 100% subsidiary Harz Energie Netz GmbH comprises 150 locations in the Harz , the Harz foreland and the Eichsfeld between Bad Lauterberg in the Harz , Bad Sachsa , Duderstadt , Goslar , Osterode am Harz and Seesen . The grid company operates a total of 70,100 gas meters , 112,200 electricity meters and 31,900 water meters .
