He achieved great fame through the ARD series Schlager für Schlappohren, which started in 1967 , an entertainment program with a simultaneous look behind the scenes. The cheeky, snappy mouth doll, the rabbit Caesar, dealt with current pop and beat music titles together with the human co-moderator "Arno" ( Arno Görke ) . Numerous well-known entertainers appeared as guests. The typical “Biddeschööööön!” Of Caesar the hare is still quoted today. The hare's self-designation mostly sounded like "Haaaase Cäääsar".

From 1972 there was the series Dr. hc Caesar - consultations of all kinds ; this also marks the first attempts in the comedy genre in the children's program .

From 1979 to 1981, “Dr. hc Caesar ”through 59 episodes of the children's program Fun must be . The NDR television brought the figure back into the ARD's evening program in 1984. The concept of the program was designed as an animation film presentation with comedy interludes and brief excursions into real life. The character of the rabbit Caesar was again accompanied by the actor Arno Görke and in parts of the series by “Assistant Heidrun”, played by Heidrun von Goessel , a TV announcer for the station.

After 17 years of abstinence from television, the hare Caesar shortened the “Waiting for the Christ Child” (ARD / WDR) on the afternoon of Christmas Eve 2001 with the help of Herbert Feuerstein and Hein Blöd, among others .
