Sven Jenssen (born April 21, 1934 in Kiel ) is a German pop singer.

Career

In 1963, in a duet with Peter Alexander , he published the single A Lederhose Needs No Creases . In 1965 he took part in the Schlager Festival in Sopot , where he sang A Little Love Journey to Wonderland .

He played the role of a pop singer in 1966 in the children's TV series Der Hase Caesar (episode: Caesar becomes a pop singer ).

Another single was Amigo, That's Life , which was released in 1967. Jenssen had other publications. His German-language version of the melody of fate from the film Love Story also appeared on various samplers . He also made a name for himself as a shanty interpreter, for example at the Hamburg Harbor Concert . In 1969 Jenssen had one and in 1971 two live appearances in the ZDF hit parade and one in the program Die Drehscheibe des ZDF. He took part in the 1972 German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest with the title Grenzlos . He also made guest appearances in Dresden with Kurt Edelhagen's orchestra .

In 2014, at the age of 80, he told his life story on the talk show "Lass mal Schnacken! Episode 35: Sven Jenssen".
