Hatik

Hatik (born November 26, 1992 in Chevreuse , Yvelines , Île-de-France ; real name Clément Penhoat ) is a French rapper and actor .

life and career

Penhoat was born in Chevreuse in 1992 and grew up in Guyancourt . He is of French-Guyanese descent on his mother's side and of French ancestry on his father's side. At the age of 16 he started writing rap lyrics. In 2014 the artist published his first mixtape under the name America 2 - Connaissance et style and earned money in the form of part-time jobs. For the first time he achieved great fame in 2015 as a guest musician on the remix of La Promesse alongside artists such as Disiz, Soprano , Youssoupha and Dinos. His second project, Par le pire , followed in 2017 , from which the single Avec Téva, including his first music video, emerged. Penhoat made itself known to a wider audience in 2018 with the release of the mixtape Chaise Pliante , which, however, only celebrated success in the following years. In terms of lyrics, the songs are particularly dedicated to topics such as crime and human trafficking. The project includes guest appearances from rappers Hornet La Frappe, Jok'Air and Médine. Another EP called Projet Berlin was released in 2019 in collaboration with Daymolition and was supported by five music videos that were shot in Berlin within five days . His big breakthrough finally came in spring 2020. In May 2020, the single Angela reached number one on the French single charts. Just two weeks later, the re-release of the mixtape Chaise Pliante rose to the top of the French album charts.

Since March 2020 Hatik has been playing alongside artists such as Ninho , Lacrim and Bosh in the French TV series Validé and has played the role of Clément dit Apash, an aspiring rapper. The series is broadcast on Canal + . He also acts as an interpreter of some of the songs on the corresponding soundtrack, including the song Prison pour mineurs , which placed sixth in the top 10 of the French single charts.
