About the second team he got into the squad in the 2002/03 season and played ten games in the 2nd Bundesliga in the same season .

As an all-rounder on the defensive, he was mostly used on the left side of defense or as a "clearer" in front of the defense. On February 23, 2011 he was reassigned to the professional squad by coach Holger Stanislawski from the U23, and due to the lack of injuries in the defense area, he applied for a license to play. For the first time in his career Brückner was in the squad of a Bundesliga team; However, it was not used.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, he moved to VfL 93 Hamburg . From 2014 to 2016 Brückner played for USC Paloma in the Hamburg major league .
