The Hausener Mühlbach is an approximately two (with Wollenbach 9.5 km) kilometer long, right and northern tributary of the Steinach in the Lower Franconian district of Schweinfurt . It arises from the confluence of the Grundwiesentalbach and Wollenbach in the Schonungen district of Hausen .

The Hausener Mühlbach runs on the southern edge of the Schweinfurt Rhön . Together with the Steinach, it forms the Mühlviertel of the Schweinfurt district.

Grundwiesentalbach

The Grundwiesentalbach is the five kilometers long, right and northern upper reaches of the Hausener Mühlbach. It is the hydrological branch.

It rises on the southern edge of the Üchtelhausen district of Hesselbach and flows in the Schonungen district of Hausen with the Wollenbach to the Hausener Mühlbach.

Wollenbach

Main article: Wollenbach

The Wollenbach is the nearly seven and a half kilometers long, left and north-northeastern upper reaches of the Hausener Mühlbach. It is the main hydrological strand.

It rises north of Hesselbach and flows into Hausen with the Grundwiesentalbach.

Due to the confluence of its two source streams, it arises at around 241  m above sea level. NHN in Hausen, about at the level of the Katzenbrunnen alley , the Hausener Mühlbach. The stream is strengthened by a strong spring in the middle of the village.

The Hausener Mühlbach initially flows south through the village meadows on the eastern edge of the old village center . He now passes the village mill and then the Lohmühle at the exit of the village . There, the Siegengraben flows underground on his left side . The stream then runs southwards through fields and meadows, accompanied by the SW 26 and lined with a strip of wood. South of the Schonunger Grund corridor , he used to run the paper mill and, a little further down the stream, at the south-western foot of the Spitzberg, the German mill . The stream now reaches the northern edge of Schonungen, crosses under the St 2266 , here called Hofheimer Straße , and finally flows into Schonungen at an altitude of about 216  m above sea level. The Hausener Mühlbach is a carbonate low mountain range rich in coarse material . Its bank is lined with deciduous trees and grassland. The curvature of the barrel is straight and it is two to five meters wide. Its bed is trapezoidal and the slope alternates between flat and steep. The degree of its naturalness is assessed as impaired.

Mill ditches, which used to drive the many mills, often branch off to the right or left of the Hausener Mühlbach.
