In his third season he established himself as a regular player.

After he had remained without a title for seven seasons with his club, he was able to win the Istanbul championship with her in the 1933/34 season . Özkan contributed four goals to this success and formed a successful storm line with Şeref Görkey , Eşref Bilgiç and Hakkı Yeten . It was not until the 1938/39 season that he and his team won the championship of the Istanbul Football League. In the following four years Özkan's team managed to defend their title in the Istanbul championship four times. As a result, the team broke several league records. In addition, the Milli Küme was won in the 1940/41 season , a kind of championship in which the teams from the three cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir participated. Özkan was part of the team in the first three of these championships and was one of the key performers in the first two seasons. It was not until the 1940/41 season that he lost his regular place and only played one game. He ended his career at the end of the season.
