Pond

The Heidweiher is located in the area of ​​the town of Gunzenhausen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The about nine  hectares large pond is located on the edge of Gräfenstein Wald forest in the Franconian Lake District , close to the case, the house at an altitude of 420 meters above  mean sea level . It is fed by the Haidgraben , which is called Heidweihergraben when it exits the pond . To the south is the Altmühlüberleiter , to the east the European main watershed runs . The municipal boundary to Haundorf runs not far . To the north is the Koppenweiher .
