Heike Axmann , née Dombrowski (born December 4, 1968 in Wismar ), is a former German handball player and active handball trainer . Your playing position was on the circle .

Career

Heike Axmann played 114 international matches for the German national team , 60 of them for the DHV and 54 for the DHB. With the national team she won the handball world championship in 1993 .

In 1989 she was voted handball woman of the year .

Axmann trained Buxtehuder SV for almost three years . She is currently a DHB youth trainer. Since 2014 she has been working as assistant trainer for the female A-youth at Buxtehuder SV.

The trained travel agent is married and has two children. Her daughter Natalie and her son Dominik also play handball.
