Heike Sudmann (born May 1, 1962 in Sulingen ) is a Hamburg politician ( Green Alternative List , Rainbow and DIE LINKE. ).

Life

Sudmann came to Hamburg in 1982 and trained in administration. This was followed by a degree in urban development / urban planning, which she completed with a degree in administration and urban planning.

From 1993 to 2001 Sudmann was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . She sat for the GAL parliamentary group, among other things, on the urban development committee. Despite her mandate, she was not a member of the GAL.

In May 1999 Sudmann left the GAL parliamentary group together with Susanne Uhl , Norbert Hackbusch , Lutz Jobs and Julia Koppke in protest against the German participation in the Kosovo war. They founded the parliamentary group “Rainbow”, which later became the electoral association Rainbow - For a New Left . Sudmann himself took on the task of spokeswoman for the group. In 2001 and 2004 Sudmann was the top candidate for the voters' association. However, she was unable to make the leap into parliament with her party in both elections. In 2001 the party received 1.7% of the vote, then 1.1% in 2004.

Heike Sudmann ran for 11th place on the Die Linke list for the 2008 election to Hamburg's citizenship ; Although she did not move into parliament, she was a deputy in the authority for urban development and the environment . In the 2011 and 2015 elections , she won a seat on the party's national list.

Sudmann was an active member of the ÖTV and also from 1988 to 1991 a voluntary women's representative in the Hamburg-North district office. She is Ver.di shop steward in the education authority and has been a member of the staff council there since summer 2006. Since 2004 she has been working as a consultant in the construction department of the education authority.

Since March 7, 2011 she has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament again.

Sudmann moved back into Hamburg's citizenship on February 23, 2020 .
