Heiko Mirass

Heiko Fred Max Miraß (born March 14, 1967 in Greifswald ) is a German ministerial official and politician ( SPD ). He has been State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 2019 .

Life

After finishing the polytechnic high school , Mirass completed an apprenticeship as an electrician . He worked in this profession for three years. At the same time, he passed the Abitur at the Greifswald evening grammar school. From 1989 to 1996 Miraß studied sociology and economics in Leipzig , Greifswald and Osnabrück and completed his studies with a degree in economics .

In 1997 he began his preparatory service at the Federal Employment Agency . From 1998 to 2009 Miraß was employed in Stralsund . From 2009 to 2010 he was chairman of the management of the employment agency in Hildesheim in Lower Saxony. He then took over the management in Neubrandenburg for two years . From 2013 to 2019 he was Chairman of the Management Board of the Employment Agency in Greifswald.

For the 2017 federal election , Miraß ran as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 16 (Mecklenburg Lake District I - Vorpommern-Greifswald II) . He received 13.9% of the first votes .

In June 2019 he was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance to succeed Heiko Geue ; he has been in office since July 1, 2019.
