Heiko Wohlgemuth (* 1972 in Emden , East Friesland) is a German author , actor and comedian .

Life

Wohlgemuth completed a classical acting training in Hamburg and was then engaged at various city theaters. He visited u. a. Masterclasses with Edith Jeske , Stephen Schwartz and Terrence McNally . Since 1999 he has worked as a freelance actor, author, songwriter, singer and comedian.

With his piece “Achtung. Rare. The Comedian Harmonists ”he made guest appearances in Klagenfurt and Vienna . In addition to small television roles, Heiko Wohlgemuth can be seen regularly at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg , where he also worked as a director. In 2003 he played Elling in the German-language premiere of the play of the same name, directed by Corny Littmann . He played his solo program “Wohlgemuth” nationwide and was a. a. on NDR television, at the Kiez Comedy Weeks and in the “Quatsch Comedy Club”, Berlin.

In addition to his work as an actor, singer and director, he is also active as an author, songwriter and translator. With the composer Martin Lingnau Wohlgemuth u. a. worked for the musicals Swinging St. Pauli , Villa Sonnenschein and Die 13 ½ Leben des Käpt'n Blaubär . Her musical Heiße Ecke has been running at Schmidts Tivoli in Hamburg since 2003 and had well over 1 million viewers. With Lingnau, songs were created for the piece A Better Man by Dieter Wedel and numerous songs for Pension Schmidt in the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg. The 13 ½ lives of Käpt'n Blaubär received the Live Entertainment Award in 2007 and the tour version of Swinging St. Pauli received the INTHEGA Prize for the best German tour production. Heiko Wohlgemuth worked on behalf of Stage Entertainment as a songwriter and script consultant for the musical version of the successful film Der Schuh des Manitu . In 2009 he was responsible for the translation of the songs for the musical Hairspray . The musical Sister Act premiered in Hamburg in 2010, the song translations of which were created in collaboration with Kevin Schroeder , as was the new translation of The Sound of Music in 2011 and Naturally Blond in 2012 . Wohlgemuth is also the songwriter of the first authorized musical version by the robber Hotzenplotz , which ran with great success in Hamburg. From 2010 to 2012 Wohlgemuth provided the lyrics for the Bavarian cult TV show Nockherberg . Since autumn 2012 Cavequeen can be seen again in the Schmidt Theater , which also comes from his pen.
