Dreiseithof Altkötzschenbroda 21

description

The stable house on the left and the pull-out house on the right (listed Altkötzschenbroda 9021) of a former three-sided courtyard are under monument protection . The houses stand at the gable directly on the footpath and parallel to each other with a narrow courtyard in between.

The larger and much longer main building on the left has a massive, plastered gable wall two window axes wide. The long side is solid and plastered at the bottom, the upper floor is made of exposed framework . The gable roof sits on the courtyard side on an eaves cantilever and cantilevers far above.

The pull-out house on the right has a massive ground floor, the upper floor with the gables consists of recently renewed half-timbering. There, too, the gable roof overhangs the courtyard. The two simple gate pillars made of sandstone still stand from the gate system.

The barn that used to stand transversely at the back has been removed and has been supplemented for many years by a transverse bar at the rear.

To the left of the Kulturschmiede is another three-sided rest yard, which is operated by the Radebeul family center .

Cultural institutions

Radebeul City Gallery

On December 16, 1982 (February 1, 1983), the municipal city gallery was opened under the name of Kleine Galerie in today's Hauptstrasse in Alt-Radebeul and operated there until the rented space was terminated in 1995. In the two following years, alternative quarters in the new town hall, the Sparkasse Radebeul-Mitte and the Landesbühnen Sachsen were used until the gallery found its new home in the three-sided courtyard on the Anger von Altkötzschenbroda. After the pull-out house there had already been repaired, the main building was renovated between January 1996 and August 1997 and presented to the public in the form of a two-storey exhibition room on September 25, 1997 with a comprehensive exhibition of the Radebeul artists.

The aim of the city gallery is to serve as a “mediator between art producers and recipients” and to “contribute to the popularization of the artistic heritage and contemporary art.” In addition, “changing exhibitions of fine and applied arts as well as thematic intermedia- Projects ”.

In 1990, the Stadtgalerie took charge of organizing the annual Radebeul graphics market . Two years later, the municipal art collection was incorporated . Since 1999, the self-published Radebeul artist documentation with the essential data and facts about the contemporary Radebeul visual artists and their works has been appearing in continuous supplements .

In addition to numerous events on various topics, there were also personal, group and memorial exhibitions on Lößnitz artists such as Paul Wilhelm , Karl Kröner , Ruth Meier , Fürchtegott Erhard Zwar , Magdalene Kreßner , Heinz Drache , Johannes Thaut , Georg Richter-Lößnitz , Carl Schröder and Burkhart Ebe organized. The important work of the conductor Ernst von Schuch as well as the master builder Gebrüder Ziller and their extensive family were also presented.

Municipal art collection

The term Städtische Kunstsammlung was coined in 1992 when it was incorporated into the Stadtgalerie in order to combine the existing exhibits of important works by the artists who have lived in the Loessnitz villages for centuries and / or who have shaped and represented them into a collection. A "historically grown inventory of paintings, graphics, drawings, collages, photographs, sculptures, sculptures, objects and artist books" owned by the city served as the basis. This collection of around 1500 works by around 100 artists is supplemented by other items such as catalogs and posters. Both works of art and accompanying documentation have been supplemented and expanded since then.

In 1997, with the conversion of the Hoflößnitz Municipal Museum into the Hoflößnitz Winery Museum Foundation , the art inventory was split up: the wine-specific part remained with Hoflößnitz, the other works of art were transferred to the municipal art collection.
