Heinrich Brüning (politician, 1836)

Heinrich Brüning (born April 3, 1836 in Hollern in the old country; † September 10, 1920 in Göttingen ) was a German administrative lawyer and municipal official in Prussia.

Life

Heinrich Brüning was a son of the pastor and superintendent Johann Heinrich Brüning in Selsingen. After attending high school in Hanover, he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University and the Georg August University . In 1856 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Munich and the Corps Bremensia . Bremensia later awarded him honorary membership. He was mayor of Buxtehude from 1864 to 1871 . He was then mayor and from 1879 mayor of Minden . From 1880 to 1888 he was Lord Mayor of Osnabrück .

From 1868 to 1870 he was a member of the National Liberal Party of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Hanover 36 (Rotenburg) . For Minden and Osnabrück he sat from 1871 to 1888 in the "OB parliamentary group" of the Prussian mansion during his time as mayor or lord mayor. He is also a retired general director in the Kösener corps lists . D. listed.
