Heinrich Christian Körtje

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich Christian Körtje (born March 12, 1718 in Hanover ; † February 5, 1780 in Wennigsen ) was a master builder in Kurhannover .

The son of the court stone carver Johann Balthasar Körtje (1684–1720) probably also trained as a stone carver. In 1738 he made a plaster model of a spiral staircase and received a scholarship to study in Dresden .

In Celle he was a monastery builder from 1755–1780 and a court architect from 1773–1779.

At the end of February 1762 he was captured during an attack on Rotenkirchen and kidnapped as a hostage to Göttingen.

From 1765 he was also the second court architect in Hanover. In 1773 he was appointed provisionally as the successor of the agricultural master builder Sudfeld Andreas Vick (1708 / 09-1772; son of Christian Georg Vick ) as agricultural master builder.

Around 1778 the purchase of the Neue Schenke ( Londoner tavern ) as the official seat of the law firm and consistory failed due to the excessive demands of the magistrate of Calenberger Neustadt.

In 1783 his successor became the master builder Francois Schädler .
