Heinrich Christian Quade

Heinrich Johann Ludwig Christian Quade (born April 22, 1775 in Hamm ; † December 29, 1852 , ibid) was a Prussian civil servant, royal tax council and mayor of the city of Hamm.

Life

Heinrich Quade, son of the mill administrator Ferdinand Wilhelm Quade († 1826 in Hamm) and Anne Sophie Springhoff († 1815 in Hamm), was married to Carolina Neuhaus since May 1802. The marriage resulted in 6 children. In 1804 he was employed as a district secretary in Warendorf , later as the Royal Tax Council for Warendorf and Hamm. From 1816 to 1835 he was the mayor of Hamm. As part of his official activities, he campaigned for the approval of the iron rolling mill of the Hobrecker brothers (1819) and for the printing license of the Hammschen Wochenblatt district (1821). In the weekly newspaper mentioned his resignation can be found on March 11, 1835 : The provisional administration of the local mayor's office, which I am reluctant to renounce because of other employment relationships, will be handed over to the first deputy, Mr. Domainen-Rath Mayer, as of tomorrow. Hamm, March 8, 1835 The Mayor Quade. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the Hammonense Grammar School .

In 1826 and 1830/31 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia .

Awards

Patent to the Tax Council (1844)

The Order of the Red Eagle was awarded to Christian Quade by Friedrich Wilhelm III. (Prussia) because he gave the king a worthy welcome in Hamm.
