Heinrich Christoph von Baudissin

Heinrich Christoph Graf von Baudissin (born July 9, 1709 in Schleswig ; † June 4, 1786 at Gut Rixdorf ) was the Electoral Saxon general of the infantry , governor of Dresden and the Königstein fortress , and owner of the Rantzau , Knoop , Lammershagen and Rixdorf estates in Schleswig-Holstein. He was the bearer of the Polish White Eagle Order .

His parents were Wolf Heinrich von Baudissin from the Baudissin family and his wife Dorothee von Buchwald (1683–1709). He was married to Countess Susanna Magdalena Elisabeth von Zinzendorff-Pottendorf (* December 14, 1723 - October 15, 1785), the niece of Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf , sister of Ludwig von Zinzendorf and half-sister of Karl von Zinzendorf and Friedrich August von Zinzendorf . The couple had the following children:

  • Heinrich Friedrich (* December 1, 1753; † May 17, 1818) Danish general ⚭ Caroline von Schimmelmann (1759–1826), founder of the Knoop and Borstel lines
  • Karl Ludwig (* August 21, 1756 - March 1, 1814) Danish lieutenant general and governor of Copenhagen, founder of the Rantzau line ⚭ Sophie Louise von Dernath, (von der Nath), (* August 29, 1764 - August 18, 1828 )
