Heinrich Dietrich Wilhelm Kuckuck (born January 8, 1900 in Steinhude ; † March 23, 1983 ibid) was a German politician ( NSDAP; FDP ).

Life

Heinrich Kuckuck was the son of a fisherman. After attending school, he was drafted as a soldier in September 1918 and took part in the First World War. Then he attended the preparatory institute and the teachers' seminar in Wunstorf , which he finished with the first teacher examination. After the early death of his older brother, who fell towards the end of the war, he joined his father's business as a partner and managing director.

Kuckuck had been a member of the National Socialists since 1931 and head of the NSDAP local group in Steinhude until 1945. He was involved in local politics and became a member of the Schaumburg-Lippische Landtag in May 1933 when he replaced the resigned MP Karl Dreier , who had previously been elected President. He remained a member of the state parliament until the parliament was dissolved.

From July to October 1944, Kuckuck was a soldier in the Air Force Battalion in Oldenburg .

After the end of the Second World War , Kuckuck was imprisoned in the Hiddesen internment camp until November 1947 . Following his dismissal, he was again active in local politics - for the FDP. He was a local councilor from 1952 to 1972, deputy mayor from 1952 to 1956 and 1964 to 1968, and mayor of Steinhude from 1957 to 1964 and from 1968 to 1972 . He was also a member of the district council of Hanover from 1956 to 1972 .

Heinrich Kuckuck had been married to Caroline Kortebein (1905–1986) since 1925 and had three sons.
