Heinrich Laß (born October 14, 1884 in Eilenstedt , † 1936 in Guben ) was a German politician.

Life

Born the son of a watchmaker , Laß studied law in Heidelberg , Berlin and Halle after attending the Halberstädter Domgymnasium . During his studies in 1902 he became a member of the Frankonia Heidelberg fraternity . He became a reserve officer in Altmark Field Artillery Regiment No. 40 . After exams and legal clerkship, he worked for the Eilenburg magistrate from 1912 , in Hildesheim from 1913 and then in Magdeburg until 1914 . In the First World War he was deployed in the war and at the front from 1914 to 1918. When he returned to Magdeburg he worked as a magistrate's assessor and legal assistant . From 1919 to 1922 he was city ​​councilor in Guben, then until 1924 city councilor in Kiel . In 1924 he became First Mayor or Lord Mayor and Magistrate Conductor of Guben. He became a member of the county council of Brandenburg . Since he did not want to become a member of the NSDAP , he was retired in 1933.
