Heinrich Rohland

Heinrich Rohland (born November 21, 1876 in Gläsendorf , Habelschwerdt district , province of Silesia , † April 2, 1945 in Berlin ) was a German consular officer.

Life

Rohland studied at the Friedrichs University in Halle . In 1896 he became active in the Corps Normannia-Halle . He joined the Prussian judicial service in 1899 and became an assessor in 1904. In the Foreign Service since 1905 , he was in Antwerp , Quito and San José (Costa Rica) from 1906 to 1914 . In 1914 he returned to Quito as consul. In 1916 he was taken prisoner by the British for two years. Afterwards in the Foreign Office, he became a real councilor and lecturer in 1919 . In 1920 he came to Bogotá as Minister Resident with the official title of envoy and in 1924 to Lima . From 1934 to 1936 he was envoy in Oslo and at the same time consul general for Norway . From 1937 to 1943 he headed various departments at the AA. As envoy z. D. he died at the age of 68.
