Heinrich Runkel

Heinrich Runkel (born June 12, 1862 in Datzeroth , † January 2, 1938 in Wiesbaden ) was a German school councilor and politician ( DVP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and the preparatory institute , Runkel went to the teachers' seminar in Neuwied . He worked as an elementary school teacher in the Westerwald , attended the primary school in Essen and then studied theology and philosophy at the universities of Halle (Saale) , Bonn and Tübingen , which he obtained with a doctorate to Dr. phil. graduated in Tübingen.

Later he worked as a seminar teacher in Rheydt and was active as a district school inspector in Lennep-Remscheid before he was responsible for the city district of Stettin in the same function . Eventually he became a seminary director in Tønder .

Furthermore, Runkel acted as secretary of the provincial association of the patriotic women's associations in Schleswig-Holstein .

Political party

Runkel belonged to the DVP .

MP

From January 1919 to May 1924 and from May 1924 to September 1930 Runkel was a member of the DVP in the Weimar National Assembly and in the Reichstag .

Public offices

In 1908 Runkel served as a provincial councilor in Schleswig .
