Heinrich Schaidreiter

Heinrich Schaidreiter (born January 24, 1885 in St. Johann im Pongau , Salzburg , † September 19, 1972 in Zirl , Tyrol ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

Heinrich Schaidreiter only had a simple school education and was initially employed as a farmhand on various farms . Later he found work with the railway and rose to the rank of Federal Railway Inspector at the ÖBB .

His political career began as a member of the local council of Hötting , now a district of Innsbruck . In 1934 he became a member of the Tyrolean state parliament , to which he was a member until 1938.

In December 1945, Schaidreiter was sworn in as a member of the Federal Council in Vienna . He served as Federal Councilor until November 1949.
