Heinrich Simroth
Heinrich Rudolf Simroth (born May 10, 1851 in Riestedt , † August 31, 1917 in Gautzsch near Leipzig ) was a German zoologist .
Career
Simroth in 1875 at the University of Strasbourg Dr. phil. PhD in zoology (title of the thesis: “On the knowledge of the musculoskeletal system of infusion animals”). From 1876 to 1879 he worked as a teacher at the secondary school in Naumburg . His habilitation took place in 1888 at the University of Leipzig . From the summer semester of 1889 he taught in Leipzig, where he was finally appointed associate professor in 1895 . In 1890 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina .
