Heinrich Theodor Koch

Heinrich Theodor Koch (born March 15, 1822 in Kürbitz , † October 2, 1898 in Buchholz ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Live and act

The son of the Protestant pastor in the Vogtland Kürbitz Ernst Gotthelf Koch (1791-1851) attended the grammar school in neighboring Plauen . After studying law at the University of Leipzig , he settled in 1848 as a lawyer and notary in the small town of Buchholz in the Ore Mountains, where he also held the office of mayor from 1848 to 1861. As a representative of the 11th urban constituency, he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament from 1854 to 1868 . He was a member of several class deputations, including those for constitution and legislation as well as for petitions and complaints. In the state parliament he was a consultant for bills. He was also a member of the Protestant regional synod. From 1874 to 1877 he was a member of the German Reichstag as a representative of the 21st Saxon constituency .
