Heinrich von Randow (officer)
Heinrich von Randow (born August 13, 1797 in Pitschen , † August 12, 1853 in Düsseldorf ) was a Prussian colonel from the von Randow family , who were aristocratic in letters and who have since died out in the male line.
Life
Randow had been an ensign in the Silesian National Hussar Regiment since April 1815 and joined the 7th Hussar Regiment of the Prussian Army in June 1815 . There he was promoted to second lieutenant in June 1817 . At the end of March 1830, Randow came as an adjutant to the 9th Division and on March 30, 1831, became Premier Lieutenant . When he was promoted to Rittmeister four years later, he was transferred to the Adjutantur and at the end of May 1835 he came to the General Command of the V Army Corps . With a patent from April 7, 1842, he was promoted to major on June 24, 1842 and transferred to the 1st Uhlan Regiment as a regular staff officer on June 24, 1848 .
On August 24, 1848, Randow was appointed commander of the 5th Uhlan Regiment , which he commanded until his death in 1853. In this position he rose to 6 December 1851 to colonel.
Randow died unmarried and was buried in the Golzheimer Friedhof in Düsseldorf.
