Heinrich von Redern
Count Heinrich Alexander von Redern (born September 26, 1804 , † October 23, 1888 ) was a Prussian diplomat.

As a scion of the Havelland nobility, Heinrich von Redern was born to the royal chamberlain and court marshal of Prince Heinrich of Prussia , Wilhelm Jakob Moritz Graf von Redern (1750-1816) and his second wife Wilhelmine von Otterstedt (1772-1842) as the second eldest son. His older brother was the general director and composer Wilhelm Graf von Redern .
Heinrich von Redern married Princess Victoria Odescalchi (1811-1889). The couple had three children. The eldest son Wilhelm became heir .
Life
Redern was in Prussian diplomatic service and was the Prussian envoy in Darmstadt ( Grand Duchy of Hesse ), since 1846 in Turin ( Kingdom of Sardinia ), 1856/57 in Dresden ( Kingdom of Saxony ) and until 1867 in Saint Petersburg .
Redern was a legal knight of the Order of St. John, a real privy councilor, chamberlain and held the ceremonial office of chamberlain.
In 1883 he inherited the family's extensive property from his older brother, including the Redern Palace across from the Brandenburg Gate, where he resided from then on. In 1885 he took the hereditary seat of the family in the manor house , which was on the Fideikommiss Greifenberg.
