The Heinstermühlbach is a right tributary of the Mangelsbach in the Hessian and Bavarian Odenwald .

The Heinstermühlbach rises at an altitude of 450 m above sea level. NHN in the local area of Würzberg as Steinbächel and flows in an easterly direction.
To the north of the Schrahmühle it finally flows out at a height of 300 m above sea level. NHN from the right into the Mangelsbach .
Its 1.8 km long run ends 150 meters below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of 83 ‰.
Catchment area
The catchment area of the Heinstermühlbach lies in the sandstone forest and is drained via the Mangelsbach, the Gabelbach, the Mud , the Main and the Rhine to the North Sea.
It borders
- in the southeast to that of the Wilbesbach , a tributary of the Mangelsbach
- and in the northwest to that of the Ernsbach , the right source brook of the Erdbach , which drains over the Mümling into the Main
The highest point is the 540.2 m high Rote Buckel in the southwest of the catchment area.
The catchment area of the Heinstermühlbach is largely forested.
