Heinz Lüdemann
Heinz Lüdemann (born November 1, 1928 in Brandenburg an der Havel ; † March 15, 1997 in Leipzig ) was a German geographer .
Life
In the 1960s, Lüdemann headed a department in the Economic Research Institute of the State Planning Commission. As Prof. Dr. sc. he was director of the Institute for Geography and Geoecology of the Academy of Sciences in Leipzig and successor to Edgar Lehmann . He was a member of the scientific advisory board for local research of the institute mentioned and was co-author of the series Values of Our Homeland . In 1986 Lüdemann became deputy chairman of the newly formed Council for Basics of Environmental Design and Environmental Protection.
Lüdemann was an honorary member of the Geographical Society of the USSR and chairman of the National Committee of the GDR for the Scientific Committee for Environmental Problems.
