Heinz Lenssen (born November 15, 1944 ) is a former German soccer player . The midfielder played a league game in the Bundesliga with Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 1971/72 season .

Career

Lenssen moved in 1971 from Rheydter SV from the Niederrhein Association to Bundesliga promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf. Fortuna also signed the players Herbert Gronen , Klaus Senger , Hans Schulz , Kurt Büns and Leonhard Helmreich . In Düsseldorf, the 1.76 m tall Lenssen was a supplementary player and was only used in the league during the season. On the 9th matchday he was substituted by coach Heinz Lucas in the 1: 3 home defeat on October 2, 1971 against Werder Bremen in the 70th minute for Klaus Budde at the score of 0: 3. In the last 20 minutes he formed the midfield of the promoted team with Fred Hesse and Hans Schulz behind the attackers Hilmar Hoffer , Reiner Geye and Dieter Herzog . In the further course of the lap he was no longer used at Fortuna.

After a year with Düsseldorf, the contract was terminated and Lenssen returned by his move to VfR Neuss for the 1972/73 season , back to the Association League Niederrhein.
