Kurt Büns (born July 24, 1949 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Kurt Büns came from the youth of Rot-Weiß Emmerich and played as a goalkeeper from the 1967/68 season for SF Hamborn 07 in the then second -rate regional football league West . In the first season at Hamborn under coach Herbert Burdenski , Werner Scholz was the clear number one in the Hamborn "Lions". Büns came in 1967/68 on four missions at the side of Dieter Herzog and Heinz Versteeg and Hamborn took ninth place. In the 1970/71 season Hamborn rose to the amateur camp and Büns moved after a total of 59 regional league appearances to Bundesliga promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf .

There he was under contract from 1971 to 1977. From 1972 Büns played with Fortuna in the completely rebuilt Rheinstadion . The most successful period in Düsseldorf's club history began. Büns and team- mates finished thirteenth in the first 1971/72 season , then third twice in a row. Büns was mostly second choice behind regular goalkeeper Wilfried Woyke , he made 35 appearances in the Bundesliga and six appearances in the European Cup. 1977 Büns left Fortuna and from then on played in the amateur field at Weseler SV .
