Heinz Verbnjak (born January 1, 1973 in Admont ) is an Austrian ski mountaineer and cyclist.

Career

Ski mountaineering

Since being set up by ASKIMO , he has been a member of the Austrian national team in competitive ski mountaineering . Verbnjak achieved several victories in national competitions, was winner of the Hochwurzen mountain run in 2007 and, with Martin Echtler, fourth in the Sellaronda Skimarathon . In 2008 he was first at the Knappen-Königs-Trophy in Bischofshofen and at the Champ Or Cramp . In 2006 and 2009 he won the Ötzi Alpine Marathon .

Cycling

In addition to his career as a ski mountaineer, Verbnjak is also active as a mountain biker. He starts for the team KTM-Mountainbiker.at . At the Salzkammergut Trophy 2008, he finished third. Since 2012 he has been active as a trainer in addition to active sports.
