Martin Echtler
Martin Echtler (born January 14, 1969 in Peiting ) is a German mountaineer and alpine athlete. He is a member of the German national ski mountaineering team .
Echtler holds the German best time in the Patrouille des Glaciers , was German champion in the vertical race in 2007 and German runner-up in ski mountaineering . He is also a successful mountain runner and has won the Zugspitze extreme mountain run four times . His sister Christine Echtler-Schleich was also in the women's squad of the German national ski mountaineering team.
In 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008 he won the Zugspitze Run.
