Pepsi & Shirlie
Pepsi & Shirlie was a British pop duo . It consisted of the two singers Helen "Pepsi" DeMacque-Crockett (born December 10, 1958 in Paddington , London ) and Shirley "Shirlie" Holliman (born April 18, 1962 in Bushey , Hertfordshire ).
biography
DeMacque-Crockett and Holliman started their careers as background singers for the band Wham! . After their breakup, they recorded the album All Right Now together , which was released in 1987.
The pre-extraction Heartache boarded the British singles chart at # 2, the successor Goodbye Stranger reached there Place 9. The Singles Can not Give Me Love and All Right Now , which one cover version of the eponymous 1970s hits of the band Free is the end were 1987 only small hits. Hightime , the fifth and final release of the album All Right Now , missed a hit parade listing .
After a break, the second Pepsi & Shirlie album Change was released in 1991 . Neither the long player nor the only single Someday received the desired attention. The duo then split up.
Pepsi DeMacque-Crockett toured as a singer on the 1999 Then-and-Now tour with Mike Oldfield . On the DVD Tubular Bells II and III by Mike Oldfield she appears as a singer at the live premiere of Tubular Bells III . In addition, on New Year's Eve 1999 she was a vocalist in the performance of The Millennium Bell at the Berlin Victory Column .
