Helga Adler
Helga Adler born Helga Obuchoff (born December 21, 1943 in Praschnitz ) is a German woman politician ( SED / PDS / today non-party ).
Life
After the polytechnic high school in Wernigerode and Genthin , the daughter of an SED district secretary Helga Alder attended the extended high school and graduated from high school in 1962 . She then completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman in Magdeburg until 1963 . In 1963, Adler joined the SED. From 1963 to 1968 Adler studied history and art history at the Humboldt University in Berlin and in 1968 earned her diploma as a historian . Until 1974, Adler worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Social Sciences at the Central Committee of the SED in East Berlin . In 1974 and 1975 and from 1978 to 1990 Adler was a research assistant at the Institute for International Politics and Economics in East Berlin. From 1975 to 1978 Adler was a research associate at the International Institute for Peace in Vienna . In 1979 Adler received his doctorate at the Institute for International Politics and Economics after working on social and democratic movements and the peace movement in Western Europe and the USA .
In February and March 1991, Adler was the press spokeswoman for the PDS party executive and from March 1990 to November 1991 she was a member of the presidium of the PDS party executive and head of the commission for foreigners policy, interest groups and working groups . In November 1991 Adler resigned all party offices and resigned from the PDS.
From December 1991 to the beginning of 1993, Adler was a research assistant in the Science Network in Berlin. From 1992 to 1999 she was a board member of the Association of Democratic Scientists . From 1993 to 1995, Adler was a research associate in the research project Women in Science at the Free University of Berlin . Adler has been director of the Paula Panke women's center in Berlin-Pankow since 1997 and has been the spokesperson for the Berlin Women's Network since 1999 .
Adler has been a member of the Pankow District Assembly of Berlin for the party Die Linke since 2011 but is non-party.
