Helga Pfetsch

Helga Pfetsch , b. Höfert, (born October 26, 1944 in Jena , Thuringia ) is a German literary translator and trainer / consultant in the field of communication and learning.

Life

Helga Pfetsch grew up in the Swabian Alb, studied English and sport and was trained in various methods of humanistic psychology .

Since 1976 she has been translating from English as a freelance literary translator, and since 1987 she has worked as a freelance trainer and consultant in companies.

From 1997 to 2005 she was chairwoman of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary Works , and from 2014 to 2019 she was president of the Circle of Friends for the Promotion of Literary and Scientific Translations

She lives with her husband, the political scientist Frank R. Pfetsch , in Heidelberg.
