Helge Freiman (born February 26, 1992 in Lidingö ) is a Swedish handball player . He is mainly used as a left backcourt player. By his own account, however, his favorite position is the center of the back.
Career
Freiman started playing handball in his hometown at Lindigö SK. In 2008 he joined the youth department of the then first division club IFK Tumba . From 2011 he played for Eskilstuna Guif in the first Swedish league and qualified with this club several times for the EHF Cup . For the 2016/17 season Freiman moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga GWD Minden , where his contract was terminated after just one year. He then joined the Swedish association IFK Kristianstad . With Kristianstad he won the Swedish championship in 2018.
Helge Freiman made his debut for the Swedish national team in 2014 and has so far played 14 international matches (18 goals). For the U-19s, he made 35 international matches (46 goals) and 27 games (38 goals) for the U-21s. At the U-21 World Cup in 2013 in Bosnia and Herzegovina , he won the title with Sweden.
