Heli Deinboek
Helmut "Heli" Deinboek (born January 8, 1955 in Vienna ) is an Austrian blues musician , songwriter and cabaret artist .

Heli Deinboek has been an integral part of the Austropop songwriting scene since the late 1970s. He became known not least for his satirical texts and his collaboration with the group Drahdiwaberl (“Der Killer vom Billa”), with whom he shares a tendency towards a social criticism carried by striking humor. In 1980 he released his first album with Krallelujah . In 1983 Deinboek was involved as a lyricist in the Austrian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest ( Hurricane of the Westend group ). In the 1980s he also worked on the children's song albums Na Wui! - Children's songs from the Leopoldstadt of the Leo Sisters and Go Papa, look! the Tonino Kids with. In 1991 his first live LP / CD Ärger Als Deix appeared with almost exclusively new songs. His biggest commercial success was in 1995, the album Guilty consisting exclusively of the Viennese transferred covers of Randy Newman is. The album was represented in the Austrian album top 50 for 14 weeks and climbed to number 31. A new album, Küss den Boden , was announced for the beginning of 2005, but it was never released. Instead, the CD Youngest Rumors was published in 2006 , peppered with a lot of social guilt and hidden allusions to his own life. Parts of it were taken over by kiss the floor . In 2010 he released his last two studio albums Coole Ader and Waun da Wind si Draht . In addition, the compilations Bluesminus30 (2010) and Second Hand Mann (2011) were released, which consist partly of already published and partly of unpublished songs from the never released album Küss den Boden .
In addition to his musical career, Deinboek is a social worker and also works in the advertising industry. He was also on stage with his own cabaret programs (“Schmähphisto”). On February 19, 2007, Deinboek's first play “dizzy” or the lust for me, farce with singing , directed by Hubsi Kramar, premiered in the 3raum Anatomietheater .
At the beginning of 2011, after about 30 years of musical activity, a good 20 albums and about 2000 concerts, Heli Deinboek announced his departure from the stage. His farewell live album with the Heli Deinboek Band - Midnight - has been available as a download in various online shops since March 1st, 2011. On October 8, 2011 the Heli Deinboek Band played their last concert in the GUGG Kulturhaus Stadt Braunau .
In 2015 Deinboek performed again with Paul Reschenhofer. A new CD has been announced for September 8, 2016.
