Hellkofen is a district of the municipality Aufhausen and a district in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg .

geography

The church village of Hellkofen is located two and a half kilometers north-northeast of Aufhausen on both sides of the R9 district road on the Gittinger Bach .

Culture

The essentially Romanesque church of St. Leonhard is a listed architectural monument and a subsidiary church of the Catholic parish of Riekofen , to which Hellkofen has belonged since at least 1838.

history

There was a community Hellkofen, consisting of the two districts Hellkofen and Triftlfing , which was renamed in 1870 in the community Triftlfing. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , this community was dissolved and incorporated into Aufhausen on April 1, 1971.
